Dashboard Segments
Segments group contacts for broadcasts and lifecycle targeting. A segment can represent a newsletter audience, customer tier, product cohort, or imported list.
What segments are for
- Choosing recipients for a broadcast.
- Organizing contacts for support and operations.
- Measuring subscribed and unsubscribed counts.
- Keeping campaign targeting out of ad hoc CSV workflows.
Best practices
Use clear names, remove stale segments, and avoid overlapping campaign segments unless the same contact intentionally receives multiple messages. Respect unsubscribe and topic preferences when selecting recipients.
